A macrocyclic musk lactone, produced synthetically. Exhibits a clean musky profile with a bright, faintly metallic edge, considerably less sharp than the synthetic nitro-musks, with excellent diffusivity and a skin-blending quality that allows it to integrate seamlessly with other base materials. Macrocyclic musks are considered environmentally preferable to polycyclic musks due to their biodegradability.
